From the manufacturer, the Impact 1000 Laser Rangefinder (LRF101) is the perfect choice for bowhunters and range-day lovers who need an intuitive platform with angle compensation. It can range targets down to five yards out, with the ability to stretch out to 1,000 yards if needed.

The Impact 1000's primary HCD (Horizontal Component Distance) range display is intended for most rifle and archery shooting conditions, providing the critical horizontal component distance. This mode is suitable for rifle shooting on level ground at any range, as well as rifle shooting out to ranges of 800 yards with mild slopes (less than 15 degrees) or 400 yards with moderate slopes (15 to 30 degrees). Archers can also use the HCD mode, which provides the appropriate level ground sight pin for the range displayed.

For rifle shooters using slope-correcting ballistic drop data cards, ballistic cell phone applications, or other ballistic programs, and who are shooting at distances beyond 500 yards and with slopes greater than 15 degrees, the Impact 1000's LOS (Line of Sight) mode is the ideal choice. The range number displayed in LOS mode is the actual line of sight range with no ballistic correction for slope, allowing users to input the accurate range into their electronic devices or ballistic drop cards.

The Scan feature can be used to range moving targets or help range smaller targets on uniform backgrounds in either HCD or LOS modes. By pressing and holding the Measure button, the laser can be scanned back and forth, and the yardage number will change as the crosshairs move across the target object.

The Impact 1000 features a diopter on the eyepiece to adjust for differences in a user's eyes, 6x magnification to bring targets in for a closer look and more accurate ranging, and fully multi-coated optics to enhance light transmission in low light settings.
